The Rotary Club of Oxford North

Each month our weekly meetings, Wednesday lunch time, include two with speakers invited by various members, a ‘Business’ meeting (where club activity is summarised) and a ‘Fellowship’ meeting where we just chat among ourselves. Whilst there is a designated structure to this, the emphasis of our club is informal, with much banter and jocularity - something that is immediately appreciated by visitors, both from other Rotary clubs and the wider world. Nobody is allowed to take themselves too seriously (and no-one tries to!)
 
In addition to our regular meetings, we schedule a range of events, both in support of our objectives and to raise funds for our nominated charities, each year chosen by our President, who holds the post for one year.  We also raise funds for other causes, and for the entertainment and enjoyment of club members.  Entertainment applies particularly to those months where there is a ‘fifth Wednesday’, as we meet in the evening and partners are invited.

Our activities are overseen and organised by various committees, each of which has a Chair and various Club members make up these committees.
